Air vector is employed in drying process every time the characteristics of a sheet require gentle treatment and forbid mechanical contact. Non-contact drying solutions offer significant advantages in terms of :

  • Homogeneity of drying both in MD and CD, thanks to uniform heat transfer (homogeneous temperature and velocity)
  • Fine tuning of drying according to maximal evaporating rate sustainable by the end-product
  • Ability to limit infiltration of layer treatment inside the web, particularly appreciated as it saves pigments, starch etc.
  • Possibility to increase existing speed of the machine without increasing its length
  • Maximal drying capacity with minimum space requirement compared to traditional drying solutions
  • Maximal machine performances while maintaining product quality and machine efficiency
  • Energy care, efficiency of air drying may reach 80%, even more, compared to 70% only in classic can dryers sections
